Lisa Klingersberger is an industrial designer and folding expert. She loves to research and experiment how different materials can be folded and how they interact with pressure, light or heat. Her work combines industrial processes and craftmanship with the use of both synthetic and natural materials. Geometric folding and a digital algorithmic structure merge with an analogue approach of creating shapes.

She works on own projects, which are based on a wide research about form, material, color and manufacturing processes and is open for commissions.

In her folding workshops she teaches the basics of origami, how to fold geometric structures and design your own folded piece. She also teaches the basics of 3 dimensional shape, visualisation and does design projects with industrial design students.

The Austrian designer is based in Salzburg. She studied Industrial Design and Textile Design at the University of Arts Linz and the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in China. After working in London at Forpeople and in Vienna at Johannes Scherr Design and Lucy.D she started her own creative practice. She is an University Assistant for Industrial Design at the University of Arts Linz and holds both independent and commissioned Workshops.
