About

Lisa Klingersberger is an industrial and textile designer specialized in folding. Her studio in Salzburg works at the threshold of geometry and material: developing folded products, limited editions, sculptural works, and material research for brands, cultural institutions and creative industries. She combines digital tools and machining processes with analogue, hands-on making.

The folding practice traces back to a 2007 lecture by Biruta Kresling at Kunstuniversität Linz, where Lisa completed an Industrial Design Scionic® master alongside a parallel bachelor's in textile design, built on a year of mathematics studies at Universität Salzburg. Her master's thesis, Purpose Driven Computational Origami in Industrial Design, set the agenda the studio has been working through ever since.

Twelve years of professional design practice include positions at ForPeople in London, Johannes Scherr Design and Lucy.D in Vienna, and Lisa's own studio in Salzburg since 2015. Commissioned work includes the Re:Post pillow for Österreichische Post, released as a limited edition in 2022 and reissued in 2025. Alongside the studio, Lisa has been teaching folding at university level for a decade: at Kunstuniversität Linz, TU Wien, and FH Salzburg.

The studio's projects can be seen under WORK. Current teaching engagements and workshop formats are listed under TEACHING.
